Another Shot for Those Opposing New Waugh Chapel South

Apparently the lack of advertising for a hearing on the new development of the Village at Waugh Chapel South means that the County Council will repeal their support for the project and vote on it again after an advertised hearing is held.

The requirement for advertising the hearing is in the Maryland Constitution.

The developer says without the development deal with the county, the new center - including the Wegman's - is in serious question.

Opposition forces to the new deal -whether it is to protest tax breaks for a developer rather than local small businesses or environmental or traffic concerns - now have a second chance to make their case. The hearing is scheduled for May 3rd, 7pm, at the Arundel Center in Annapolis.
